Winter Stories We were in the mood to write some winter stories after all of the snow we've had this winter. We made a word bank of winter words to help us when writing our stories. This was the first time we wrote a rough draft and Ms. Ross edited our work. We are real authors, just like Audrey Wood and Tomie DePaola! Ms. Ross displayed our stories and illustrations in the hallway for everyone to read. We are proud of our work. Once upon a time there was a wolf who lived in the snowy wookds and he said, "I would like to have lunch." So he went in the snowy woods and saw some meat, which was a deer. He didn't want to eat her because it was his friend. They found a friend of the deer's. His name was Thumper. Then they had a cup of tea and played cards. By: Karisa I like to go tubing. I hike up a big hill. Then we get on our tube and we go down the icy hill. It is very fast. It blows snow. By: Lydia I like Legolas. He is an elf. He shoots arrows. He is from the Lord of the Rings. He is a good guy. By: J.P. This is Dan the Wolf, the meanest animal in the North Pole. He is white. He also eats meat. He eats other animals. He only eats at night. By: Dan I had a good day at the North Pole. I had a new friend, a polar bear, and it was friendly. We had fun. We went walking. By: Lorena I like to go snowtubing. I wear boots. An elf ran away. I have to get my things. I like to go skiing. I like to play in the snow with my sisters. I like snowmobiling. I like to throw snow at my sisters! I like to build a snowman! By: Abigail One night Santa Claus and his elves went in a sled with their reindeer and presents. All for good little children in a world. There he goes back home to Mrs. Claus. "I love you, " said Mr. Santa. "I love you too," said Mrs. Claus. "And the reindeer and the elves too, but I love you most of all!" By: Tabitha I like to play in an igloo with my friends and my brother and my sister. It is cold. By: Alex I like to sled. I like to go off jumps. Sometimes I crash if I go too fast. If I go too fast snow splatters in my face. Sometimes I like to wipe out. I come inside my house. I had some hot chocolate and went to bed. The next morning I woke up and when I look out side I saw snow falling from the sky. I went outside to play. I slid on my belly till my mom called me in for hot chocolate and dinner. After dinner I had to go to bed. By: Kyler The Abominable Snowman Chapter 1 The Abominable Snowman lives in the North Pole. But the Abominable Snowman saw four snowboarders when the Abominable Snowman was in Pennsylvania. The snowboarders were Alex, Chris, Jordan, and Kyler and they were champions at dueling. They challenged the Abominable Snowman to a duel. By: Jordan When our mommy takes out Cassie she barks and barks at the snowman. When she brings her back inside, she goes to the mirror and she wants to play. She scratches the mirror and barks until we call her over. When we call her over she wants to squeak her squeaker toys. By: Mollie When me and Alex and Jordan were going snowboarding we saw an alien. Alex and Jordan wanted to punch the alien but I had an idea. I called Alex and Jordan. They went to get our snowboards and we ran over the alien. The End By: Chris The Abominable Snowman I was walking in the woods one day when I met the Abominable Snowman! I ran as fast as I could. All of a sudden he stopped! He turned around. He started to go the other way. The next day I went outside. Then I saw the Abominable Snowman practically melted. The next day I went outside. Then he was gone. By: Franchesca An elf ran away from home and another ran away so another elf ran away. Then the Papa went looking for them. Then he found them! But where do you think he found them? By: Dakota The Snow Bunnies Story One day the snow bunnies came to my window and ate some grass. They hopped away that day I went outside. The End By: Jessie I like to sled in the snow and go snowtubing and go over jumps with snowboarding. I like to play with Nicolle and John and Sammy! By: Mollie I can't wait until we go to the hunting camp with Joey and Mark. All of us pack our own bags. I'm going to pack Joey and Mark flashlights. We like to hide my Tinker Toys. We hide them in the wood shed. I'm going to wear 3 pairs of feeties. We will play around with our four wheelers if our dads will let us. We might not be going. Maybe we are going.
